Outline Activities
My recent research is centered around various syntactic phenomena of negation especially in English and Japanese. In the framework of the generative grammar I focus on explicating the generality behind the diversity. I am also interested in the conceptual semantics and the functional approach to syntax. Ellipsis and anaphora are also my concern of research.

I teach the basic notions, ideas, and the ways of analyses of (English) linguistics to the undergraduates. I have advanced courses of generative syntax for the graduates.

I have taught English linguistics at a community college.
