Outline Activities
My interest is to study the most microscopic structure of nature, namely structure of hasrons (nucleons and mesons) and nuclei, especially possible medium effect that appears in such many body system.
The nucleus is a packed system of hadrons and the basic properties, such as masse and size, of hadrons enbedded in the high dense system may be modified. We are investigating such effect through the nucleon quasi-free scattering, which is a nucleon-nucleon scattering in nuclear field. The experimental study is done by using two laboratories. At the Research center for Nuclear Physics in Osaka Univeristy, experiments by using high current polarized proton beams and polarimeter system is ongoing. For higher energy measurement, in which the relativistic effects are expected to be enhanced, 1 Gev Proton beam at Petersburg Nuclear Physicd Institute, Russia, is being used.
I am also engaged in educations at the graduate school, which are directly connected to the studies above, and under-graduate level educations.
