In this graduate school I am currently engaged in area studies research centering on the Korean Peninsula, and the topics I am presently the most involved in are Korean language pedagogy for native Japanese speakers, ethnic cultural research of the Korean Peninsula (with a focus on oral tradition and religious rituals), and the history of Japanese-Korean cultural exchange as it occurred through Korean messenger envoys (tsushinshi) and places such as Tsushima the Wakan at Busan.
