Research Interest
I. Speciation and polyploid evolution in plants, genome dynamics of polyploids:
(i) Evolutionary significance of polyploidization in plants;
(ii) Infruence of polyploidization of host plants to parasite;
(iii)Hybridity and ingrogression.
II. Mechanism and evolution of gall-morph diversification:
(i)Relationship among the gall-morph diversity and the genetic diversity of plants and insects;
(ii) Biological mechanisms of gall formation and the origin of gall-morph diviersity;
(iii) Evolutionary significance of gall morph differentiation to galler specitaion.
III. Study of history and practical use of hervacious specimens stored in Kyushu University.
IV. Ideal method and educational study of University Museum.
