1. THE EFFECT OF ROAD NUMBER DUPLICATION ON MAKING A DRIVINGPLAN FOR THE UNFAMILIAR DESTINATION USING THE ROAD MAP

Many drivers make the driving plans to the destination using the driving maps for the unfamiliar destination. And the routes planned by the drivers could change depend on the road information in the map.
After explained that the route numbers in the map are very useful as the information for the drivers to plan the driving plans, this paper clarified through the experiment that the planned routes might be affected if the road numbers in the maps are written in single or duplicate. The experiment showed that the less was the number of road number required to remember to drive the route, the more drivers chose the route. Furthermore, the analysis of the glance using eye-mark recorder cleared that the pattern of glance move of the drivers on the map have something to do with planned routes..
