Current and Past Project
  • Development of the prediction tools for the duct acoustic modes and the emitted acoustic field from the axial flow fan (a model turbofan).
  • The increase of usability of active noise control and active impedance control technologies, by applying these technologies to a sub-scale test engine, are the objectives of this joint research.
  • Experimental and numerical investigations of the surge in the centrifugal compressor of the automobile turbocharger.
  • Large eddy simulations (LES) of flows around a centrifugal compressor of an automobile turbocharger, to improve the prediction capability of the aerodynamic performance over the conventional Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes simulations (RANS).
  • Experimental and numerical studies to improve performances of acoustic liners of the Helmholtz resonator type.
  • Research on the noise from a automobile turbocharger.
  • Experimental researches on the active and passive noise controls of a axial flow fan.
