Outline Activities
Interested in the control and censorship of English Renaissance drama. Written a number of papers on Shakespeare and his plays, and also on playing companies in Renaissance England. Edited a book entitled "Elizabethan Drama and Censorship." Translated a book on Shakesepeare (entitled "Shakespeare the Basics") into Japanese with two co-translators. Now doing research on the history of travelling players in 16th and 17th century England.
