The uncertainty is independent of enthalpy and its uncertainty, and increases mainly with increasing temper- ature difference. Examination of several empirical geobaromters reveals that the uncertainty in pressure differ- ence is smaller than that in pressure estimation by a factor of at least one third within the temperature range of almost every single metamorphic complex..
