Outline Activities
Research activites:
1. Clinical investigation on the pathophysiology of neurological diseases by using non-invasive methods of brain function such as EEG, sensory and motor evoked potentials, magnetocencephalography and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
2. Non-invasive analysis of the higher brain function. Specail attention is paid to face recognition and movement detection in normal humans and patients with autism and Alzheimer disease.
3. Motor function of human has been studied by using TMS and functional MRI. The basal ganglia-thalamo-cortical network is visualied first in the healthy subjects. It is hoped that the pathophysiology of Parkinson disease will be clarified by this method.

Education:
The medical students and postgraduate studens regulary learn Clinical Neurophysiology. The residnts are also trained to EEG and evoked potential techniques in the ward.

Social activities:
EEG conference is held once a month for the young doctors and co-medical staffs. Clinical Neurophysiology Meeting is held once a year for the the young doctors and co-medical staffs. President of Japanese Society of Clinical Neurophysiology since November, 2014.
