Outline Activities
[Research activities] : I have three main research subjects.
1. Emotion detection from human facial expression images,
2. 3-D remeshing and mesh segmentation based on feature analysis of 3-D objects,
3. Studies on analysis of cell-animation images

[Educational activities] : In the first half of the fiscal year 2011, I had three lectures for undergraduate courses and one lecture and one seminar for graduate courses. In the second half of the year, I had two seminars for the undergraduate course and one seminar for the graduate course.

[Social activities] : I have engaged in a joint research on image processing method of on-vehicle cameras with a worldwide leading company of 3-dimensional map production.
I also have been giving a lecturer and a laboratory in the open seminar called "Laboratories of Audio and Visual Sciences for High School Students" which has been an annual summer program since 1998.
