Presentations
1. A liquid-liquid phase-separated multiple droplet was formed as a kinetic product, and its color was markedly different from that at thermodynamic equilibrium. The chemical reaction in the micro-channel was dynamically synchronized with droplet movement via mass transfer..
2. Kenta Goto, Kyoka Nakanishi, Fumito Tani, Multiple droplets formation by a simple mixing method with microfabricated channel and their mass-transport mechanism, The 4th IRCCS International Symposium, 2021.03.
3. Multiple droplets and/or emulsions are defined as dispersed droplets including tiny droplets in immiscible liquid phases. A couple of methods are present for formation of multiple droplets. Among them, multiple droplets obtained from phase separation show an attractive phenomena including pattern dynamics and mass-transport. On the other hand, fabricated micro channel is a promising candidate for droplet formation. We developed multiple droplets formation by a simple mixing method with maicrofabricated channel in the diethyl phthalate (DEP)-ethanol- water system in the presence of a polymer surfactant, Pluronic F-127. Formation and mass- transport mechanism on phased-separated multiple droplets will be discussed..
4. Naphthalene diimide molecules have attractive properties such as large π surface area, electron acceptability, and chemical modification for demand characteristic at will. So far numerous synthetic efforts are made for expansion of π surface area. However, little has been known to synthesize asymmetrical naphthalene diimide molecules by introducing functional groups at the nitrogen atoms of the imide moieties.
Herein we will show versatile syntheses of asymmetrical naphthalene diimide molecules via stepwise condensation reaction..
