Current and Past Project
  • Scientists, philosophers and historians work on constructing the philosophy of earth and planetary sciences in cooperation.
  • In this project, anthropologists who have knowledge on science and technology, together with philosophers and scientists, discuss contemporary science which connects with people's life in local communities, in terms of thinking and acting styles. Through the discussion, we clarify 1) science as a way of thinking, 2) science as action and 3) science as dissected in specialty, and consider the characteristics of specialized branches as inference systems.

Educational
Educational Activities
For undergraduates, I taught experiments on torsion pendulum and thermal condution in 2010 and 2011. From 2012, I teach excersises on mathematics, mechanics and thermodynamics. From 2018, I teach heat transport in the Earth, and the interior structure of Jovian planets.
For graduate students, I teach the dynamics of the Earth's core, or physical volcanology. In addition, I teach vector and tensor analysis.
For freshmen, I taught experiments and give a general lecture with other teachers in this department from 2010 to 2013. In 2012 and 2013, I organised these subjects. From 2014 to 2016 and 2020, 2021 I teach electromagnetism. From 2017 to 2019 and 2022 I teach KIKAN education seminar.
I supervise graduate students.
Social
Professional and Outreach Activities
I worked as a committe member in the National Center for University Examinations
I had lectures for high-school students twice.
In the academic years 2016--2017, I taught in the course ESSP, FC-SP for high-school students..
