浜本裕美, Choral Ritual Performers in Euripides’ Electra: Brides and Laudators, The Classical Society of Japan, Vol.3, 38-56, 2017.03, エウリーピデース『エーレクトラー』において、劇中での歌と踊りを伴う儀礼歌の上演が、どのような役割を担っているかを明らかにした。本劇には、女性の通過儀礼に際して上演される乙女歌と、運動競技祭の勝者を祝う祝勝歌という二つのジャンルが用いられる。前者は、既婚でありながら生娘に留まるエーレクトラーの曖昧な社会的位置を浮き彫りにし、後者はオレステースの復讐に公的意味を与える重要な役割を担う。実際に歌い踊る劇のコロス（歌舞隊）の存在が、この二つの儀礼歌の上演を結び付けている。.
