Outline Activities
Our research activities include basic research and applied development on molecular scale science and optoelectronic functional materials and devices using concepts from applied physics related to materials, such as atomic and molecular self-assembly, crystal growth, surface and interface science, and optoelectronic properties. Through research activities and academic conferences, we aim to nurture young human resources with creativity, logic, and the ability to make correct value judgments.
As for undergraduate educational activities, I am in charge of the Department of Quantum Physics and Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering, and the Department of Energy Quantum Engineering and the Department of Systems Life Science in the Graduate School of Engineering and the Department of Systems Life Science in the Graduate School of Systems Life Science.
As for social contribution activities, I am involved in academic exchange and promotion of science and technology through serving as a committee member of several academic societies and research groups. In addition, I am a member of the Science and Technology Contest Committee for high school and university students, and the Super Science High School (SSH) Program Committee to raise awareness of science and technology and to foster young science and engineering students.
