Outline Activities |
Research:
I am studying about inhomogeneous structure of the crust of the earth based on seismic observation.
1. Tomography for velocity structure around high seismic activity area and volcanic one.
2. Reflected wave analysis to detect reflectors existing in the crust from records natural and artificial seismic sources.
3. Imaging of spatial and temporal scatterer distribution from dense seismic array observation.
4. Sesmitectonic study about Japan Islands through stress, strain, seismic activity investigation.

Outline of the project : This project is a comprehensive scientific
research on Unzen Volcano with scientific drilling. The focus of
scientific drilling is to clarify the regional crustal structure,
magma evolution processes, the processes of conduit formation, magma
degassing, and magma's interaction with groundwater.
