地表で観測される地震動は,震源の特性,震源から地震基盤に至るまでの伝播経路の特性,地震基盤から地表に至るまでの堆積層におけるサイト特性であらわされます.日本の都市の多くは,地震動の影響を受けやすい,厚い堆積平野・盆地上に広がっており,過去にも大きな地震被害が生じています.地震に対する建物の耐震性能を評価するためには,これらの特性を適切に評価する必要があります.災害に強い社会を目指して,観測された地震記録の解析から,主に都市が位置する堆積平野・盆地の地下構造モデルの高精度化,強震動予測手法の高度化に関する研究に取り組んでいます.

    The severe damage observed in the Kathmandu Basin, Nepal, during past earthquakes necessitates a thorough study of the seismic behavior of the basin sediments. As the shear-wave velocity is directly related to the elastic shear modulus of the material, it is essential to determine it to incorporate the behavior of the soil in the design of the structure. Hence, we determined average shear-wave velocity in upper 30 m (Vs30) of soil in Bhaktapur district in the eastern part of the Kathmandu Basin at 73 observation points, employing two methods involving the use of non-invasive microtremor array measurements (MAMs). These MAMs are widely used for determining subsurface soil characteristics by analyzing the ambient vibrations of the ground. The first method involves inversion using a genetic algorithm, and the second is a method for obtaining Vs30 directly from the dispersion curve. We found that Vs30 in the southeastern part of the study area was higher than that in other parts. Conversely, Vs30 in the western region was lower. The calculated Vs30 values were used to classify the sites. The elevated eastern and southeastern areas with high Vs30 were categorized as dense soil or soft rock, whereas the areas with low Vs30 that had suffered significant damage during the 2015 Gorkha earthquake were classified as soft soil sites.     Site amplification factors (SAFs) of S wave at ground surface are crucial for evaluating and predicting seismic ground motions. This study proposed a novel methodology for directly estimating S-wave SAF from microtremor horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (MHVR) based on deep neural network (DNN) model. We analyzed site amplifications obtained from generalized spectral inversion technique and microtremor data observed at Kyoshin net and Kiban–Kyoshin network sites in Chugoku district, western Japan. The DNN model was developed using peak frequency and the frequency-dependent relationship between MHVRs and SAFs. The sites were divided into training set, validation set, and test set. The training set and validation set were used in k-fold cross-validation technique to evaluate and select optimal model. Once the optimal model had been determined, the model was employed on the test set that was completely independent of the training and validation set for evaluating the generalization performance. Residuals and root mean square errors between the estimated and observed SAFs were evaluated to discuss the applicability of the proposed model. We also confirmed that the DNN model shows better performance in estimating SAFs com-pared with the existing double empirical correction method.

    表層の地盤特性は土の飽和の程度に大きく影響を受け、降雨等による地下水位の変動に伴って時々刻々と変動する。一方で、現状の地震動評価の際は、地下水位等に起因する地盤特性の変動を考慮しておらず、地盤震動特性を表現するパラメータは不変的な量として扱われている。近年、物理探査手法から地下速度構造の推定や地下水位の特定がなされており、両者の統合分析方法が提案されている。本研究では、表面波探査や電気探査等の統合手法から地盤物性や地下水位を推定することにより、降雨等による地下水位の時間変化や凍結による地盤強度の時間変化を定量的に把握し、地盤特性の時間変化が地盤内を伝播する地震動に与える影響を評価する。

    日本は火山国であるため、火山の噴出物が堆積した地域が多く、その地下構造ならびに地盤による地震動の増幅特性は複雑である。よって、このような地域の強震動予測の精度の向上には、火山由来の堆積地盤における地盤増幅特性の精査と地盤構造モデルの高度化が重要である。本研究では、既往の研究で長周期地震動の大きな地盤増幅特性が指摘された火山由来の堆積地盤上の地震観測点やその周辺の地域において、地震や微動の観測等から推定された地下構造モデルを用いた地震動シミュレーションに基づいて、火山由来の堆積地盤で長周期帯域の地盤増幅特性が大きくなる原因と減衰特性を解明し、火山由来の堆積地盤の地盤構造モデルの高度化を行う。

    本研究は,これまでに研究のされることの少なかった海洋プレート内地震(スラブ内・アウターライズ地震)と内陸の比較的深い中地震の震源特性を観測記録から新たな手法を用いて検討することで,ω-2モデルからの脱却を含めた構造物の設計用入力地震動の作成に耐えうる,簡便かつ有効なパラメターによって構成される震源スペクトルの提案を試みるものである.内陸の比較的深い地震である2018年北海道胆振東部地震で非常に危険な地震動が発生した要因が主に被害地点付近の地下構造に大きく影響を受けている事であることを明らかにしたことで,このような地震の震源スペクトルの定量的な把握が可能となる.
