研究活動
資源地質学・環境地質学・同位体地球化学を専門とし, 金属鉱床形成および坑廃水中での元素の移動・濃集プロセスを地球化学的な観点から明らかにすることを目指して研究を行なっている．
教育活動
基幹教育においては基幹教育セミナー, 学部専攻教育では, フィールド地球科学演習, 地球システム工学実習等の演習及び講義を担当している. また, 博士課程・環境システム工学特別コースのオムニバス講義も担当している. 研究室に配属された学生に対しては野外調査, 化学分析および卒修論執筆について教育指導を行っている.
