Profile
Dr. Chi Zhang holds a multidisciplinary educational background spanning computational science (B.A., Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China), economics (M.A., Jinan University, China), and urban and environmental engineering (Ph.D., Kyushu University, Japan). She has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou).
Her research integrates quantitative methodologies—including statistical, econometric, and geospatial analyses—with multi-source data such as social surveys, geospatial information, and big data. Focusing on themes of urban inequalities, socio-spatial stratification, contextual exposure, and individual well-being, Dr. Zhang aims to generate evidence-based insights that inform policies for creating more equitable, sustainable, and livable urban environments.
