Development of functional foods for anti-virus, anti-stress, anti-allergy, immunopotentiation, anti-oxidation, anti-life style-related diseases; Development of establishment of recombinant protein high productive animal cells by activation of promoter;
Development of serum-free and non-protein high density cell culture method; Production and functional improvement of antigen-specific human monoclonal antibody using in vitro immunization method.

- The Research Institute for Biology and Food in Fukuoka Industrial Technology Center invented a new method for production of hydroxyapatite sheet which exhibits high-affinity for adhesive animal cells. Kyushu University and Astec Co. Ltd collaborated with the institute to develop a novel 3 dimension high density cell culture system for large-scale production of recombinant proteins.
