Outline Activities
I study algebraic geometry and complex geometry. Especially, my interest
is in the structure of Fano manifolds which is important in the
classification theory and its related topics.
I recently begin to study theta functions, which are one of the
particularly curious special functions and quite often appear in the
description of physical quantities such as correlation functions.
I also begin to study the asymptotic behavier of the Bergman kernel.

Educational Activities
I give two courses on linear algebra and two courses on problem session this year.
I usually give five or six courses on linear algebra, calculus and
intermediate calculus for freshmen and sophomores.
Occasionally a half-year course concerning my research is offered for
graduate students of mathematics.
Sometimes I organize a seminar for juniors and senior
