Outline Activities
We are doing research works that are originated from clinical problems. Based on the background of surgery and molecular biology, the following projects are on-going.

1. Genetic diagnosis of cancer
1) Identification of genes that are associated with grades of malignancy
2) Analysis of a correlation between gene polymorphism and canccer susceptibility
3) Molecular detection of circulating cancer cells in the blood
4) cDNA microarray analysis of genes that are associated with invasion and metastasis
2. Development of non-invasive diagnosis of breast cancer
3. Analysis of stress reactions during operation
4. Cancer immunotherapy
Tumor specific immunotherapy with dendritic cells pulsed with MAGE peptides
5. Study of gene therapy for cancers
6. Identificcation of cancer stem cells and their specific markers
