Outline Activities
I have been working on research including data mining, machine learning, and discovery robots.
My efficient discovery of exception rules with their corresponding normal rules is recognized as a pioneering piece of work. From 2001 to 2005, I was heading a team in Scientific Research on Priority Area “Data Mining” sponsored by MEXT and contributed to its success in various ways, especially through medical mining research. I was honored the best paper prize of JSAI twice and served to many international conferences including the Workshops Chair of ICDM-2002 and the PC Vice Chair of ICDM-2004.
