Outline Activities
Our group, “Advanced hydrogen energy laboratory”, has been focusing on carbon free energy through the combination of the renewable energy and hydrogen energy. Therefore, we work on a series of research, the production, storage, and use of hydrogen. Mainly, polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) for vehicles, PEM type water electrolyzer (PEMWE), and metal hydride (MH). Not only nanomaterials are designed, but also development and evaluation of devices with such materials are focused on. In particular,
1. Developing carbon based electrocatalysts with nanochannels for PEFC
2. Designing materials for higher temperature operation of PEFC
3. Developing PEMWE electrocatalyts durable against the fluctuation of renewable energy
4. Investigating novel analysis methods
We are also working of deregulation of hydrogen related matters for the future hydrogen energy society.
