7. Unsaturation of a saturated sand quality is well known as an effective method for liquefaction prevention. New technology to induce unsaturation on saturated sand is still developing. This study focused on the effect of biogas production by denitrification as a potential application for unsaturation technique. Laboratory experiment indicated that biogas induced a saturated sand column to be unsaturated condition. After 7days, saturation decreased 82-85% in the whole column..
