Outline Activities
Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (CIDP) is an acquired immune-mediated disorder affecting the peripheral nerves. CIDP has heterogeneous mechanisms with both cell-mediated and humoral immunities playing pathogenic roles. Recently we and others reported that subsets of CIDP patients harbor autoantibodies against paranodal proteins, such as neurofascin 155 (NF155), contactin-1 (CNTN1). We have been investigating relationship between such autoantibodies and CIDP.
