    2023.1   国際レスキューシステム研究機構   災害時の心理支援は重要であるが、心理職による災害支援におけるアウトリーチ活動や諸機関・多職種とのチームアプローチの実践や知見は少ない現状である。受賞者はそのような現状の中で、東日本大震災や熊本地震、COVID-19の感染拡大に際し、積極的に現地でのチームアプローチを実践し、理論化することを試みている。昨今のCOVID-19感染拡大においては行政と連携してチームを形成し、沖縄県内のCOVID-19に関連するメンタルヘルスケアを実践している。さらに支援と並行して、保健医療従事者に対する心理支援の有用性、支援者のストレスやセルフケアについて調査研究を進めている。これらの実践および調査研究から得られた知見を学会やシンポジウムおいて発表し、心理職による災害支援の広がりに寄与した。

    災害における心理的ストレス・トラウマについての認知度が向上する中で、心理職による災害支援の社会的期待は大きくなっている。しかし、日本の臨床心理学では伝統的に個室で行われるカウンセリングが重視されており、災害支援におけるアウトリーチ活動や諸機関や多職種とのチームアプローチは未開拓に留まっていた。受賞者はそのような現状の中で、積極的に現地でのチームアプローチを実践し、それを理論化してきた。競賞における「レスキュー」概念の心理学的次元の拡張を考えるうえで、このような心理学的援助の最先端の実践を評価することは重要と考えられ、賞に値するとした。

    An interview survey was conducted with eight committee members of five specialized fields from the Japanese Association of Certified Public Psychologists to enhance psychological support and research activities by Certified Public Psychologists (CPP). Semi-structured interviews explored explanations for activities not fully recognized as CPP functions. The investigation focused on reasons for this lack of understanding, as well as issues related to empirical data demonstrating effectiveness of CPP, and concerns regarding expanding their scope of work and the increasing number of practitioners. Findings revealed that the vast range of comprehensive work of CPP, including work with individuals other than those in direct need of support is generally unknown. Restrictions on activities due to instability of status were identified as a significant impediment to demonstrating the contribution of CPP. Additionally, there is a deficiency in basic data on routine psychological support effects not relying on a specific approach, and challenges in establishing indicators for psychological intervention effectiveness. To promote research, a nationwide, systematic accumulation of basic data, diversification of research methodologies, and development of a system facilitating research initiation for field practitioners were required. Specific recommendations were proposed to promote research by CPP.

    The purpose of this study was to determine the mental health care needs of staff in facilities that had COVID-19 outbreaks and to examine what preparation would be useful in introducing support and provide mental health care from the outside. The study was based on a review of the psychological support provided at the facilities that had outbreaks and the results of an interview survey of facility managers. The reasons that led medical institutions and elderly care facilities to request psychological support during the COVID-19 outbreak situation were the “psychological state of staff”, “concerns as a manager”, and “expectations of the psychological profession”. The fact that the site’s needs were confirmed before the start of support, that specific support methods were presented, and that the support methods and forms were changed according to the site’s situations led to a “sense of security” for the managers. On the other hand, one of the common responses was that they felt the need for mental health care for staff in the outbreak response, but they did not know where to request it from, suggesting that it was difficult to find access. In the future, it will be necessary to devise ways to make information on support and their contact points to be more easily accessible for the medical institutions and facilities.
