Research: In order to solve aquatic environmental problems in coastal sea and river, I have been attempted to identify the solution by using environmental fluid dynamics. I apply an approach to a phenomenon by field survey, numerical simulation and laboratory experiment. In addition, many collaboration with other universities, institute and overseas researchers are progressing.
Education: I try to upskill communication of undergraduate and graduate student. On the other hand, I take particuler note of an international communication skill for graduate and PhD student.
Social Activities: I try to cooperate with governments, private companies and civil societies more actively in order to conserve and restorate aquatic environment.
Educational Activities
I try easy-to understand lesson in order to understand the theory of fluid dynamics for undergraduate students. I focus on a theoretical concept and applications of environmental fluid dynamics in lessons for graduate students. In our laboratory I try to promote member's independence in order to participate in thier researches aggressively.
Other Educational Activities
Professional and Outreach Activities
I try to strengthen cooperation with Japanese and local governments, private companies, universities and institutes in order to return our research results to the society. Especially, I propose concrete remedial measures for aquatic environmental problems in coastal sea, river and lake. Recently, I have been working on an investigation into the cause of the ARIAKE Probrem energetically. Our results contribute largely to identifying the solution of it..
