Current and Past Project
  • With regard to the standardized drug relapse prevention programs implemented for drug abusers, probation offices have the flexibility to choose between individual and group treatment, as well as individualized support plans. The purpose of this study is to obtain useful criteria for making the right choice of treatment. First, the effects of the program on drug abusers will be evaluated in terms of "high motivation" to stop using drugs and "acquisition of alternative behaviors through functional analysis of drug use behavior". In addition, as influencing factors of the effects, we will examine biological factors of the drugs themselves, personal factors such as intelligence and medical history, and social factors such as living environment and employment, and consider the criteria for judgment by clarifying protective factors and risk factors.
