To clarify health-related products and services that have been developed in Living Labs in France, this paper presents 14 case studies of projects that developed for the elderly people by Forum LLSA (living labs in France), using the research method of literature survey. In conclusion, a Living Lab in the healthcare field generally located at a university, a health related facility, or sometimes a company. Besides, as results of the projects, products and services such as robots, moving tools, service system/platform, and rehabilitation/training tools etc. had been developed for the elderly people in different life scenes and physical conditions. Abstract: This paper is a discussion on a design approach of regional-brand product development with students through collaboration research between a university and a local government. As a case study, I focused on the project “Regional-brand Product Planning and Design Study using Ancient Tomb Motif “with Fukutsu City (Fukuoka Pref.). |10.||Yi DING, Yasushi TOGO, Ryoichi TAMURA, Evaluating ICT Based Self-healthcare Services in Japan, International Journal of Cultural and Creative Industries, 04-17, 2017.05, [URL], The purpose of this paper is to explore Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based selfhealthcare services in Japan and discuss the design strategy for service innovation. This paper reviews previous studies of technological validation of wearable devices for self-healthcare, and finds that they present an opportunity for the development of related services. However, unsustainability and lack of demand continue to hamper development. To address these problems, it is necessary to analyze the current
situation of services and establish available standards for evaluation of these services. We conduct a survey to identify what services are needed, and chose smartphone applications as the target of this study. The market is segmented by using items drawn from the Quality of Life Scale developed by the World Health Organization (WHOQOL-BREF). Market gaps such as psychological healthcare, and environmental healthcare are identified. Applications are summarized into two types: closed and open. This study suggests that open applications are more favorable. To achieve the goal of self-healthcare, a strategy to improve open applications by allowing third-party application plug-ins is necessary to meet user needs..

|15.||Ryoichi Tamura, Santosh Basapur, Shigeru Furuya, Yasushi Togo, Fundamental research on university students' awareness and behavior related to energy conservation - Toward the creation of services that utilize HEMS, Proceedings of 6th International Congress of International Association of Societies of Design Research 2015, Proceedings of 6th International Congress of International Association of Societies of Design Research 2015, 1942-1958, USB, 2015.11, We targeted university students as near-future consumers to investigate their awareness regarding energy savings and the power-saving behaviors they engage in their daily lives. This allowed grasping their current status and suggested services utilizing a HEMS that will lead to power-saving behaviors.
We found no regional differences among Japanese university students with regards to power- saving intention or power-saving implementation intention, but found international differences with exchange and U.S. students. By examining Japanese students living alone in terms of the state of 5 clusters of power-saving implementation intention and comparing the extent of engagement in power-saving behaviors, we found that power-saving behavior was reduced for actions that were troublesome to implement or for which it was difficult to see power-saving effects. This implies that services utilizing a HEMS to increase implementation of such behaviors should consider accommodation of the sense of cost, sense of scope, and sense of execution ability factors extracted for power-saving implementation intention..

It aims to solve such a regional economic issues, the South Korean government as part of the creative economy, is to enforce a variety of policies to rebuild the local economy through the sixth industrialization of the fusion of business. On the other hand, Japan, which have the same problem with South Korea, in order to solve local economic problems, has been promoting a variety of support programs through the agriculture of the sixth industrialization. In addition, in the universities and research institutions, we have active research is underway with respect to such strategy scheme through the promotion trends and case studies of the sixth industrialization. However, as various public support system for promoting the sixth industrialization to amicably promotion, research for prior to the adjustment and managing it can be scheme has not been seen here and there. This study was to devise a public support management program scheme to promote the sixth-order industrialization that evolved from the conceptual diagram of the sixth industrialization as a hypothesis, it has been promoted in South Korea and Japan, using it as a frame we will compare the contents of public support program of government level for t the sixth industrialization. The contents of the comparison, the five items of support contents support program that is enforced by support mainly with seven items of the sixth industrialization process in the keyword, the content and the percentage of South Korea and Japan's support program that is currently being promoted it is summarized in the graph so that it can be confirmed.

Local cities in Japan had many regional activation experiences through various projects. For example, from the 1960s to the early 80s, local cities have invited and built factories from outside the area. Then they constructed theme parks in the 80s. But the bubble economy collapsed around 1990, and then almost cities have been mired in a lengthy recession. Meanwhile, various new methodologies for activating regional-industry have been studied. The recently keywords of regional revitalization including Asian countries are the regional branding, the 6th industrialization and the industry-university-government cooperation. However in many studies of regional-industry activation, most researchers extract partial elements considered to have contributed to activation from case studies, and aim at formulation of the new methodology through reorganization of elements. But the total of partial elements is not necessarily expressing the whole picture.
In conclusion of this study authors consider important to understand the whole structure of regional-industry first, and found that RIA-Scheme has the useful possibility as the template when regional policymakers think about policies of the regional-industry revitalization.
|19.||Yasushi Togo, Ryoichi Tamura, QOL Service Model for Advanced HEMS, 4th International Service Innovation Design Conference (ISIDC 2014), DVD, 119-124, 2014.10, This paper by heuristic approach proposes the new basic concept process-model for designing useful services of a home energy management system, HEMS, which can raise the quality of life, QOL, of persons who live in a smart house.
HEMS in Japan have been paid attention to after the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011. HEMS are the one that can control homemade-electric-energy, home electronics and a storage battery with a smart meter. However the adoption rate of HEMS remains still about 10% of houses because it is expensive to consumers although an effect of energy saving. The main issue considers HEMS have not valuable services exceeding its cost. Hence to solve this issue, authors considered it is important to propose the new concept map of HEMS to designers of companies who cannot find out useful services yet. That concept is the QOL service model of HEMS that utilized lifelogs.
In conclusion, it turned out the QOL service model has two possibilities to students who are not learning service design. They are the possibility that the model that utilized lifelogs is useful to understanding the service definition, and is useful to designing innovative service of the advanced HEMS..

|26.||Yasushi Togo, Organization Design of Council for Local Branding Activity - Service Organization as Development, Nurturing and Promotion of Local Brands -, International Service Innovation Design Conference,2012, pp.313-319, 2012.10, Many local governments in Japan are paying attention to local branding to increase the number of tourists, and to activate regional industries, but they have some problems. The objective of this study is to present the most appropriate organization design such as a council for local branding which is development, nurturing and promotion of the local brands. This paper was compiled from the literature research, the interview research, and my experiences of two projects of local branding. And this study has clarified the causes of problems in the general organizations of local branding such as councils that is based on the tough inspection approach. In conclusion, to solve the problems of past general organizations based on the tough inspection approach, it was found that the organization of the local brand certification council should have three functions based on the concept of nurturing that are the function of citizens’ participation, the function of development and the function of promotion. |27.||Yasushi Togo, Proposal on Initiation Process Improvement of Local Branding Program Management, ProMAC Symposium 2012, 2012.10, The purpose of this study is to present the proposal concerning the initiation process improvement in the local branding program management that achieves the goal of some projects of the local branding activities. At first in this study, it has pointed out that the local branding activities are the program management consisting of some projects and that because there are various stakeholders in the local branding projects the first project is most important. And next, it has pointed out that the representatives of stakeholders should be participated to the local branding strategy committee, and make the common target through the discussions at the committee to lead the success of the local branding. Then, it has presented the relationship between the input documents and the output documents of the establishing process of the local branding strategy committee. In conclusion, it has presented the eight phases on the establishing process of the local branding strategy committee as “Method of the initiating process improvement of the first project in the local branding program management”. It is expected that the knowledge of the result of this study is useful for the municipality that plans the local branding strategy project. .|
|28.||The objective of this study is to present the role of a designer in the local branding project through the viewpoint of the authorization requirements for the local-food brand. At first, authorization requirements (hypothesis) for the local-food brand were derived from recognition system of nine local governments by content analysis. |29.||In this study, on the basis of a new airline service between Haneda Airport and Fukuoka Airport, questionnaire surveys were carried out toward college students regarded as one of the customers to obtain the impression of Star Flyer Inc.(SFJ) and three competitive companies and the criteria for choice of the airline, and then a design strategy for SFJ in the future was examined by analyzing survey results. As for a design strategy for SFJ in the future, it is concluded that the current directionality should be maintained for "A Design for Tangibles" which reflects in the evaluation of Image. On the other hand, for "A Design for Intangibles" which reflects to evaluation of Experiential Value, it is demanded to develop and push better service that provides comfortable feeling, security and the sense of fulfillment.
