EDALATI KAVEH, 松田 潤子, Makoto ARITA, Takashi Daio, Etsuo Akiba, Zenji Horita, Mechanism of activation of TiFe intermetallics for hydrogen storage by severe plastic deformation using high-pressure torsion, APPLIED PHYSICS LETTERS, 10.1063/1.4823555, 103, 14, 2013.10, TiFeは水素貯蔵材料として、室温で作動すること、資源的に豊富で安価な事など、極めて優れた性質を有しており、再生可能エネルギーの貯蔵媒体として広く期待を集めている。しかしながら、TiFeが水素の吸蔵を開始するためには、高い温度と高い水素圧力が必要で実用化は不可能であると思われてきた。本論文では、TiFeに強ひずみ加工を施すことで、室温で水素を即座に吸蔵を開始する事を見出した。この研究により、TiFeが実用化するための目処がたったと考えられる。.
