, 第125回日本畜産学会, 2019.03, 【背景・目的】我々は、好熱菌Bacillus hisashii (NITE国際寄託番号BP-863)(IJSEM 65, 2016)の経口給与が肉用仔牛の腸内環境に与える影響について検証し、短期的な投与は病原性大腸菌に起因する下痢症に対する緩解効果が認められた。本研究では、哺乳中と異なりベースとなる腸内フローラが安定化し変動しにくい離乳後をターゲットとして長期的な経口投与による牛の腸内環境と成績に与える影響を解析することを目的とした。
【方法】供試動物として哺乳期黒毛和種仔牛(n=4)を用いて、好熱菌B. hisashii BP-863株経口給与した群、あるいは非給与群に対して2ヶ月間の連続給与とその後1ヶ月の中断期間を設定した。この間における各個体の糞中の代謝物の挙動、細菌叢を解析した上で、飼育成績との関係について検証した。
【結果】糞中の有機酸の濃度について給与前、給与後1ヶ月、2ヶ月、給与中断後1ヶ月で調査した結果、両群の値に顕著な差は認められなかった。一方、菌叢については主に門レベルでFirmicutesとBateroidetesの存在比率が給与後1ヶ月、2ヶ月で有意差が認められ、後者が増えたが、中断後ではその差が少なくなった。この時、日増体重と飼料要求率は、給与群で有意に改善された。以上の結果から、黒毛和種の仔牛の飼育管理におけるBP-863の長期給与の有用性が示唆された。. |
