Research is focussed on analytical solution methods for partial differential equations subject to physically relevant boundary conditions occurring in linear elastic contact problems, soil water infiltration, nonlinear heat conduction, and other physical systems. Solutions obtained involve generalised functions, asymptotic analysis, singular integral equations, integral transforms, manipulation of novel hypergeometric series, integrable systems, and symbolic computation.
